Remote Diagnosis System

Using an internet connection between the ASANO thermoforming machine on the customer's operation site and a PC at Asano Laboratories Co., Ltd., the Remote Diagnosis System can diagnose and monitor the conditions of sequence and servo of both the thermoforming machine and auxiliary equipment, helping to quickly recover from trouble.

  1. When can the Remote Diagnosis System be used?
  2. It can be used whenever trouble occurs, eg.:

    • When a servo alarm occurs and cannot be restored
    • When automatic operation is not possible
    • When manual operation is not possible, etc.


  3. What advantages does it offer?
  4. The greatest advantage is to be able to quickly diagnose the trouble cause.
    Conventionally, when trouble occurs:

    • The customer tries to investigate the cause by himself.
    • The customer explains the situation to ASANO on the phone.
    • The customer follows up and checks the equipment according to ASANO's instructions.

    With the Remote Diagnosis System, time spent for above process is shortened, preventing lowered machine utilization rates due to down-time.


  5. How does the system work?
    1. Customer calls ASANO by phone at the time of trouble.
    2. Customer starts diagnosis software on the panel computer, then connects to ASANO's special server.
    3. ASANO connects ASANO PC to special server.
    4. The connection between the customer's panel PC and ASANO's PC via the special server is established.
    5. ASANO starts diagnosis of the trouble.


  6. For which machine models is the Remote Diagnosis System available?
  7. The Remote Diagnosis System is available for thermoforming machines that are equipped with a panel PC (types EPC710, EPC720, and EPC730). Please ask our Service Dept. or For Inquiries for further details.
